Maggie Langley • Credit control - great topic! I'm a big believer in the importance of credit control procedures for small businesses. It just feels too personal for a lot of business owners to chase for outstanding invoices. A good system depersonalises it. If everyone gets a reminder letter/call on day x and day y and a more formal letter if needed on day z, then time isn't wasted worrying. If there's a legitimate reason for the delay, there's always room for flexibility and understanding. Procedures & good communication just weed out the disorganised, forgetful or cheeky so&so's who intend to pay but are trying to delay as long as possible. The Pay On Time website is a great free resource http://payontime.co.uk But the real soft touches out there would do best to outsource it companies like Sean's!I'll look forward to listening in tomorrow!
