What does OfficeHounds have in common with Elvis, The King of Rock 'N Roll?

1. Basset Hounds 2. Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwhiches Image via Wikipedia Did you know that Elvis' dog of choice was the Basset Hound? If you have ever heard the dissatisfied whine of a basset hound, you will know exactly where he got the lyrics, 'You ain't nothing but a hound dog, crying all the time."  In addition to our mutual adoration of Basset Hounds, Elvis and OfficeHounds also share the love of peanut butter and banana sandwiches. Yummmmm! (I have my Mom & Elvis to thank for getting me into them (no that's not spelled incorrectly. I'm American and have a Mom, not a Mum.) I have added 2 new photos of Dave & Iris, my Basset Hounds, on the  OfficeHounds website .  Go on 'ave a butcher's at my Hound Dogs, Dave & Iris ! Happy Friday everyone - hope you've enjoyed this blog which is just for fun! Zemanta helped me add links & pictures to this email. It can do it for you too.

Why didn't I hear from you?

To my surprise, this is a question I had to ask after recently attending a business exhibition as a visitor.  What is going on here? These exhibitors paid good money for their stands. I took there information, expressed interest and handed out my business card to them. Maybe they are all worried that visitors will be hit by lots of sales emails after the event. The real mystery is why these emails just aren't being sent.  It is tricky, because nobody wants to be that 'sales person' that keeps pushing an unwanted sales message. The trouble is that in reality it can take several communications before people are ready to do business. I think I read somewhere that most people take between 7 - 10 communications before they are ready to buy. Obviously, face to face meetings can build trust faster, but then those follow up emails & phone calls become even more important. We are living in an age of information overload. It's also so easy to source new products and service
